About Us

Fabricochet, like many other small businesses in the past few years, was born out of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Stuck at home with nothing to do, and unable to find masks anywhere, I decided I'd teach myself how to sew. Hundreds of hours and many Youtube tutorials later, things started looking less wonky and I decided to start making them for friends and family. Once they assured me they'd totally buy this of they saw it in a shop, I decided to open an Etsy account and my first shop, SewSchnuffel was born.

As time went on I got increasingly frustrated because I struggled to find the fabrics I wanted, the prices were quite high and I ended up in endless rabbit holes online looking for a specific pattern. So one day I decided I might as well set up my own fabric shop!

Fast-forward to 2023 and Fabricochet has grown from selling a few designs to the large array of fabrics we have available now. Everything is chosen based on what we like and what we hope our customers will love to work with.

Our fabrics are kept in the living room under the watchful eyes (and snores!) of our pugs Krumpet and Nacho.

We are working to expand our range by adding new wholesale options to our address book to provide you with the best designs, and we are also working with upcoming artists to design our very own exclusive range!
